马华总会长拿督斯里蔡细历医生指出，只有四个方面齐心合作，才能有效的确保餐饮经营地点的卫生和清洁，从而确保消费人的健康与安全。
他说，这四个方面是餐饮业经营者、地方政府执法单位、卫生部，以及广大的消费人本身。
他披露，餐饮业经营者是有绝对的责任，确保他们的营业地点是符合卫生和清洁，以免因为肮髒和处理垃圾不当，或是厨房不清洁，结果引来苍蝇、蟑螂和老鼠，导致污染了食物而引发各种传染病。
他指出，地方政府的执法单位应该更频密的检查，甚至是採取突袭检查所有管辖范围内的餐饮地点，这包茶餐室、小贩中心、路边小贩档口、嘛嘛档，甚至是餐馆和酒楼，一旦发现不符合地方政府的卫生条例，就应即刻採取行动对付。
“一些沉寂已久的传染病，如霍乱和鼠尿病，最近似乎是死灰复燃，这显示在我们忽略环境卫生和清洁时，已让这些传染病再次威胁人民健康。”
蔡细历也说，卫生部也应该定期到餐饮经营地点检查食物的样本，这肯定有助于提高经营者对食物卫生和处理的警觉性，而不是等到发生传染病后才展开调查。
他披露，卫生部可以和地方政府配合，确使双方採取一致和有效的措施，确保经营者无论在什麽时候都保持营业地点是乾淨，而且也不会成为苍蝇、蟑螂和老鼠的滋生温床。
“消费人在这方面，是可以发挥更大的影响力，他们应该只选择光顾清洁和卫生的餐饮地点，以逼使所有餐饮经营者提升和改善他们的营业地点的卫生和乾淨，并且儘量不要去不清洁和忽略卫生的地点用餐。”
蔡细历指出，许多消费人因为贪图方便，或者是因为价钱便宜，一些则是因为远近驰名好吃，结果即使有关的餐饮地点虽然不符卫生，甚至有时还可以看到小蟑螂在餐桌上爬行，可是却是还照旧光顾不误。
“消费人应该为自己的健康着想，如果他们只是因为好吃，可是却不理会有关的餐饮地点 是不卫生和不清洁，一旦因为不卫生的食物而患上传染病，那麽受害的还是他们自己。”

Food sellers, Local Government enforcement unit, the Health Ministry and consumers must work together to ensure restaurant cleanliness, food hygiene and safety.
Food sellers and restaurant operators have absolute responsibility to ensure the
cleanliness of their
premise. Improper handling of food and waste as well as
unhygienic kitchen would attract pests, cause food pollution and infectious diseases.
Local Government enforcement officers should conduct frequent spot checks at eateries and restaurants, stern action must be taken against operators who violated the rules and regulations.
The recent increase of leptospirosis (rat urine disease) and diarrhoea cases shows that negligence on environmental and food hygiene has again threatened our health.
The Health Ministry should also conduct food sampling test from time to time to raise the awareness of food sellers on food safety.
The Ministry and Local Government can collaborate to carry out checks and enforcement to ensure that eateries and restaurants do not become the breeding ground of pests and diseases.
马华总会长拿督斯里蔡细历医生强调，我国要在经济转型计划下取得成功，并使国家达致高收入先进国的目标，关键因素是必须提升国家的整体竞争力，以确保一切计划有效的推动。
他说，吸引外国专才到大马服务，对提升我国的竞争能力将有一定的协助，不过与此同时我国也必须想方设法，以减少本地人才的外流，让我们的年轻专才留在国内服务。
“政府的种种转型计划，必须依靠充足和高素质的人力资源来开展，我们必须留住本国的专才，更要吸引外国专才和外资，双管齐下以使我国达致高收入的先进国家。”
蔡细历今天发表文告说，首相拿督斯里纳吉宣佈放宽签证条例，让符合资格者可获得5年的多次往返签证，马华支持这项措施，并认为这是符合时宜的。

To ensure a successful implementation of the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP), we must boost our competitiveness through attracting talent to serve in the country and work hard plug brain drain.
We need a resourceful of high quality talent and adequate human resources to push our transformation programmes and only by stopping brain drain as well as attracting foreign talent and investment, the country can achieve the high income status.
The MCA welcomes the Prime Minister’s timely initiative to introduce the multiple entry visa for qualified foreign investors and fund managers.

After the MCA suffered its worst electoral defeat in the last General Election, the blame game begins.
There are many party leaders from divisions to central who launched personal attack against me but I am not shocked nor nervous because those who attacked me are traditionally my enemies within the Party.
Many Central Committee members were very quiet and low profile for the past 5 years be it inside or outside the Party and out of sudden, they have become so active and outspoken and this is their true colour for being good only in party infighting.
I choose to remain quiet because I seriously feel that MCA could not afford to undergo another round of infighting especially after the GE and it serves no purpose for the leaders to air dirty linen in the public.
Party vice-president Datuk Donald Lim has been very high profile recently in claiming that the decision not to accept any government posts was a wrong decision made by me.
I would like to stress that since I was not holding any government posts, I had consulted all MCA Ministers and Deputy Minister including Lim on the idea of not accepting government posts if MCA performed worse than the 12th GE and all of them had supported the idea unanimously.
During the Presidential Council meeting on April 29, 2011, I had proposed that the council members to vote on the idea and all council members felt that it was unnecessary and the resolution was passed.
The Central Committee had later passed the resolution on June 2, the same year. The resolution was also passed in the 2011 and again in the 2012 Annual General Meeting (AGM) by the central delegates.

马华在505大选遭遇重挫后，我了解到在政治上，必然会有人忙着找代罪羔羊，这是政治的现实。
马华党内有许多人，其中包括了中央领袖、州领袖和区会领袖，也纷纷对我做进行身攻击，对这些领袖的所作所为，我并不感到惊讶或紧张，因为我了解这些人都是我在党内的传统敌人。
这些领袖向来也不曾支持我，他们只是在我面前做戏，他们之中也有一些是在买“政治保险”，这一切我都非常了解。
也有许多的马华中委，在过去的5年里，无论是在党内或党外，他们都鲜少讲话或发表意见，可是现在突然之间是口若悬河，讲话滔滔不绝，让人感觉他们好像很关心党务。
其实这一切都是他们在贯彻内斗内行，外斗外行的本色。
